The 2024-2028 Age-Friendly DC Multi-Sector Strategic Plan builds on the findings from the AFDC 2018-2023 Strategic Plan Progress Evaluation Report. It aims to enhance the aging experience for all residents by improving the built environment, fostering positive attitudes towards aging, and ensuring lifelong health and security. With a vision of optimal health and quality of life for everyone, the plan focuses on making DC's places safer and more accessible, promoting diversity and inclusion, and refining policies for better health and well-being. Through collaboration among city agencies and community leaders, the plan addresses disparities and ensures equitable support for all, making the city a better place to live, work, and age.
