Community Consultations are all about eliciting information from community members of all kinds including residents, service providers, businesses, government agency staff, and other stakeholders. Numerous tools have been developed to be part of the community meetings.
- Demographic surveys—We have sought demographic information from residents aged 50 and older. To capture from all residents, we have the form in seven languages: Amharic, Chinese, English, French, Korean, Spanish and Vietnamese
- Community Consultations—There is a proven effective method of conducting the community consultations. The New York Academy of Medicine has created the materials DC is using including a protocol/guide, prompts and tips. The presentation used at the July 2013 training is also informative. The Invitations to community consultation events have been translated into five languages. Invitations are available in Amharic, Chinese, English, French, Korean, Spanish and Vietnamese
